THE ZOMBIE 5K FUN RUN

The Zombie 5K Fun Run & Fest is a full day of community fun in Red Bank, TN, on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Zombie Fest (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)

Kick things off with Zombie Fest, a lively pre-race celebration featuring local vendors, food trucks, live music, and family-friendly activities. Come in costume, shop from local makers, and soak up the spooky atmosphere before the run begins.

The Zombie 5K Fun Run (5:30 PM Start)

At 5:30 PM, the official Zombie 5K Fun Run takes off from the White Oak Ballfields. The course winds up to Stringer’s Ridge and back, with zombies lurking along the way to keep runners on their toes.

The Zombie Afterparty at Clever Alehouse (6:00 PM – 10:00 PM)

Once the race is done, celebrate your survival (or your transformation into the undead) at the Zombie Afterparty hosted at Clever Alehouse. Enjoy drinks, food, music, and plenty of chances to keep the fun going late into the night with fellow zombies and survivors.

The Zombie 5K Fun Run & Fest isn’t a polished, corporate-style race with rigid rules and intimidating vibes. We’re a local crew that loves bringing people together for a good scare, a good laugh, and a good run (or walk, or shuffle). Our event is built on community, creativity, and the joy of doing something a little weird together.

This run is for the fun-lovers, the costume-wearers, the families, the casual runners, and yes, even the folks chasing a personal record.

We’ve always believed that running should be about connection, not competition. So if you’re looking for a chance to move your body, laugh with your friends, meet new people, and maybe get chased by a zombie or two, you’re in the right place. The Zombie 5K is equal parts race and celebration, and we can’t wait for you to join us.

PARKING

Attendees are welcome to use any available free parking in the area; however, we kindly request that you be respectful of nearby homes and businesses when selecting a spot. We have direct permission to park at the White Oak Baptist Church lot, and additional parking can be found along the side of Lyndon Avenue on the opposite side of the train tracks.

Please note: this is an active railroad, so exercise caution when walking or parking near the tracks. Safety comes first for both survivors and zombies alike!

We need you! Want to join the horde? Sign up to be one of our official zombies for the Zombie 5K Fun Run & Fest! All fitness levels are welcome. Whether you shuffle slowly or sprint after survivors, we’ve got a place for you. Makeup is encouraged, and we’ll have opportunities to zombify together before the race.

In 2023, Walnut Street Publishing launched Art Boo!sion at (Be) Caffeinated, a Halloween-themed event where artists of all mediums and skill levels came together to share their work, connect with their audiences, and celebrate their love for community. The night was filled with creativity, costumes, and connection, and it quickly became clear just how much we loved two things: partnering with (Be) Caffeinated because they share the same heart for true community that we do, and hosting spooky-themed events.

As time passed, we began dreaming bigger. We wanted to take that same spirit of creativity, fun, and togetherness and grow it into something even larger. That dream became the Zombie 5K Fun Run & Fest. This year, we’re thrilled to bring the heart of Art Boo!sion to Red Bank in the form of a full-day celebration complete with a fall festival, a zombie chase through the 5K course, and a community afterparty to end the night.
